My daughters vent is under her bed. We want to get something to redirect the air so it flows between the bed and the wall. Instead of just staying stuck under the bed. Does anyone know the name of such a thing to do this? If so what is it called and where can I get it?

go to www.improvementscatalog.com and click on indoor living, then heating and cooling, then furnaces/registers and you will find some extensions for you floor register. once you have an idea of what they have, and if it will fit your need, you can go from there. i haven't seen them in the big box home improvement centers, but then it could be that i just didn't look in their idea of where they should be! i'd be wary of using cardboard boxes, with humidity, too much possability of mold. good luck, hope this is what you were looking for.

We had this problem; the bed is over the floor vent; We got a long box (like venetian blinds come in) cut out the bottom and put it over the vent, so the air flow now comes out from under the bed (at the foot_) Another room we could not find the sort of box we needed, so we made one out of blue foam board ; measure the width of the vent ; then length you want it, and height you want (about four to six inches should do it_Glue the three pieces together to form a box, put a weight on top of it to keep it from lifting up)it is lightweight you know) and there you have it.

Wow! I'll be getting my dog soon and the block off portion of the house she'll be staying in does have a vent. Right now we're dog proofing the space so I'll make sure that blocking off the vents or removing her collar is on the list! Thank you so much. All those little ifs and buts seem impossible until they happen!

Grille with directional vanes.
Might be hard to find.
Try a heating supply outfit.
Bring old grille or take measurements.
