How do you deal with an "obscene phonecaller"?

The most fun you can have with one of these slime-bags is to pick up the phone and say something like:
"Precinct 28, Sargeant Renard speaking. How may I direct your call?"
"You have reached the Jehovah's Witness 'Calling for Christ hot line'. Your call will be answered in the order it was received. Please hold for the next available operator."
"For quality control purposes, your telephone number is being recorded. To order your copy of 'Planning for the Afterlife', please leave your name, address, telephone number, and a valid credit card number after the tone."

I haven't gotten one in I don't know how long. Since caller ID came out I guess. But back then, my mom had one of those foghorn thingies in a can, know what I'm talking about? Anyway, when one called, we'd just blow it into the phone. That stopped them.

Not that I have that particular problem anymore, but I'd handle it the same way I do the tele-marketers. I let the answering machine do my talking.

I hang the phone up,without saying more than, "hello". Why should I give him a thrill?

Many years ago my mom was getting a regular daily call and one day I was there and picked it up and told the guy that I knew who he was and where he lived and that I was coming to get him..... he never called back....sicko......
