I've taken a sudden interest in U.S./ world history.

Educated answers that aren't too complicated to understand for a beginner like me, is what I'm mainly looking for.

God Bless

Communism is an economic model -- it determines who owns property. Specifically, it requires that all property (all money, everything) be owned by the govt.

Totalitarianism is any form of dictatorial govt where all things are controlled (total control). It's about who makes the rules, which is independent of who owns the property.

Fascism is a specific form of totalitarianism, based on a rigid hierarchical model of control that suppresses all democracy and forbids all personal choice.

Communism can exist just as easily in a democracy as in any other political system -- it's completely consistent for a majority-rule system to have everyone vote to give up their property, and have everyone vote what gets done with the property.

However, many recent attempts at communism have used a totalitarian political model to force everyone to follow the communist economic model -- that way, they can avoid having the populace object.

If you can get through all this bipartisan mumbo-jumbo, great.

The truth? Unfortunately it depends on whether you agree with the left-wing or the right-wing. Those are who run politics.

We have had forms of communism and fascism throughout history. Russia was said to be communist when it was USSR, though some may say socialist. Italy during WW2 coined the term "fascism" from the ancient Roman axe made from a bundle of rods. Some historians think the Italian model work, but then again, that's a bi-partisan issue. Germany came into power during WW2 by Hitler, who gave fascism no chance of ever becoming officially acceptable because he killed people due to race, handicap, and sexual orientation. Of course, some people do not even believe that the Holocaust existed or that if it did it was exaggerated. Common symbols of fascism at the timer were the Eagle, Swastika, and Fasces. The Fascists (these two anyway) have been said to have come out of socialist regimes or democracies. Some will say they came into power by election, others will say they rigged the elections. Japan was also declared Fascist during WW2, although I cannot find an actual name of the leader at the time in some Fascist history books.

Some people will tell you Communism is an utopian society. It is cool in theory but has failed in practice. Others will say Fascism may or may not be cool in theory but it has kept it promises. Fascism are accused of being violent, sometimes ignoring that Communism has no violence. It is so divided that if I were you, I would not take up an interest in US History or Politics. It is almost always one-sided when coming from an American. The British are better because they have lived longer and experienced first hand total collapse from once being a superpower. Italy, which houses Rome, which used to be a huge empire, has not been able to have a stable government since the death of Mussolini, or so some say.

Generally, where one side takes a stance, the other side kills the other side. Then they take a stance, and that side kills them.

America is said to be experiencing a conflict of religious beliefs - Radical Muslims are attacking Americans because of American Fundalmentalism (which pretty much has its roots to Baptism, which is said to be the first American-made Christian faith or religion, whatever. To those outside of America and who have studied World History, they know full well that both Muslim and Christian religions were pretty much created at the same time. Funny how that works.

Some people think America is becoming a Fascism, but more important, America has already established itself as a superpower, and has hopes of becoming in charge of the "one-world government" most feared by many, even though the British Empire and Roman Empires have failed.

Other countries are being said to becoming superpowers: Japan, China, and India, although it may take them alittle longer.

You said you wanted answers not too complicated for you? Well, that's impossible. Your best bet is to study Philosophy or World History and ignore America. It will go away and the world will be more happier than now. Once you study these disciplines, you'll find that the only absolute truth in human life is that there is no absolute truth in human life.

Now aliens from outer space are a different subject. If they exist, they need to just blow up Earth completely.

Unfortunately, I think if Aliens do exist, they could really care less about our planet and are so far out there it doesn't matter to them.

Uggh stop getting the communism thing wrong. It is total democracy for government and totalitarian for economy. Basically Marx hoped that by saying no person could have rights to any more than anybody else that elected government officials would not be corrupt. Everybody acts as though communism is fascism when realistically republican is much closer to fascism.

The only difference between capitalism and communism in terms of advancement is that capitalists advance by greed and communists advance by passion.

Communism and Fascism are both forms of Totalitarianism governments.

A Fascist state will usually continue to allow capitalism and property ownership, but only to loyal friends of the Fascist leaders.

Communists take over ownership of all property and put everyone to work for the government, adopting a Socialist economy.

They are both totalitarianism governments, in practice, although Communism starts out claiming not to be, because they end up closing the societies they govern and refusing to defend the rights of their citizens.

I just happen to have done that in another question. ;)
copy.
paste:

Totalitarianism is simply vesting all power in the government. It's the most extreme case of Authoritarianism, which I guess you could sum up as "order is more important than freedom." (as opposed to Libertarianism - the most extreme case of which is Anarchy).

Fascism is first and formost Authoritarian - Fascists vest all power in the state. As a hollow justification for this, they invoke virtual paradodies conservative ideals: ancient tradition, ethinic heritage, grand mythic histories and the like. Thus, Fascists are called conservative or right-wing.

Communism is also Authoritarian, vesting all power in the Party (in a one-party system, that's the same as vesting it in the State). Thier justification is a virtual parody of liberal ideals: the impossible utopian dream of egalitarianism through global revolution. Thus, Communists are called left-wing or even liberal.

Because they evoke opposite ideals, they're often characterized as being opposed, or opposite extremes. But, both are really just Authoritarian, both tend towards Totalitarianism, they just use different rhetoric to get there. Bullies wearing red as opposed to bullies wearing brown. A distinction without a difference.

well, communism is part of the left side of the political spectrum. govt controls the money basically. that goes for businesses as well as individuals. communism discourages religion, because communists want the state as the ultimate authority. communism is a variant of socialism, a more extreme variant.

facsism is part of the right side of the political spectrum. it calls on willpower of the people in a military way. it encourages invading other countries as a means to expand the homeland and assert its power.

totalitarianism is where an individual has control of a country. both communism and facsism are often totalitarianism govts. that individual is much like an emporer, like Ceaser or Hitler.

Communism is when the society is controlled by the govt to make it efficient and to prevent an aristocracy or wealthy elite from controlling the people... It corrupts easily and becomes a fascist govt, where a ruler or elite control everything and the people...
i have no idea the difference between a totalitarianism govt and a fascist one,,,,
all governments seem to blend into a few control everything,, and everyone else loses....

they call it different things.... we live in a democracy but i think it is becoming fascist.... and they want us to think it is a democracy..... so the words begin to blend,,,,

communism = a theoretical model of the economy in which property is collectively owned and labor organized for the benefit of all.

fascism = a system of government in which the power or authority of the government is centralized under one person or group known as a dictator. Usually why communism/socialism is theoretical.

totalitarianism = similar to fascism retains absolute control over all aspects of life.

Communism has nothing to do with a one party system. It has everything to do with everything being controlled by the state for the collective good of everyone. In another words, everyone is equal, from wealth, home, jobs, future, etc. It has been proven it can not work since we are not worker bee's with only one goal in life, to serve the state. We are individuals and in a communist state, individualism is not part of the plan. That is where Marx fell down, is he didn't understand the phycology of the individual.

Fascism is total control of every aspect of life, state, etc. An extremist form of central government controll.

Totalitarian, controls every aspect of life, from job to where you live. But it does allow for individualism.
