Have you ever been to an SN live show? Since there recently new studio (the one that looks like a train station)? If you have, I would really like to now, are sketches's escenograpy built? I mean... is it already built when you go on to the studio? Is it build right there? Is it in front of the musical guest's stage? Is it on the host's stage? Could you please tell me? Thanks a lot.

If you've seen SNL, you get a glimpse of the view from behind the camera every now and then when they cut to a commercial...There are actually about 3 or 4 stages for the production of the show...all in front of one studio audience...

I haven't been to an SNL taping but I have been to multiple tapings of Last Call with Carson Daly which uses the same studio (8H) which actually has two levels including the balcony. there are basically two stages. I suspect the musical performances are on one of them while everything else is on the other.

During the week when Carson tapes, there's nothing SNL related on the stages. They take over from like Wednesday - Saturday when they build everything. Reportedly only the music act set and the news sets are kept. everything else is built and destroyed weekly, even if it's a reoccurring character.

im pretty sure the sketches are stretched across a couple of stages, or else it would be hard to move from one sketch to another quickly.
