E.T. was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. My parents took me and my sisters when we were little back when it first came out (early 80's?) Do you remember the first movie you saw in a theater??

...I was a wee lad of five, when my parents took me to see my very first movie, and that was the original "Night of the Living Dead"; I thought the film was the funniest thing I'd ever seen, and was almost losing my breath from laughing so hard. My parents looked on, embarrassingly, in the theatre, as other viewers looked back, and wondered just what this little kid was laughing at, and why!!!

On the way home, my parents initially figured that I just didn't understand what was going on, in the movie; upon asking me about what I saw, I replied, chuckling all the while, "...it was dead people, coming out of the ground, and eating live people!!!". My parents kinda stepped back in surprise, and not only further concluded that I DID have an idea what I saw in the movie, but pretty much foresaw, from then on, that I probably wasn't going to grow up to be one of those everyday normal boys...

...to this day, although I remember the incident quite vividly, I have failed to recall just why I though the film was so funny; though, as I got older, I DID come to realize how chilling "Night of the Living Dead" actually was....

....however, as my parents foresaw, I have pretty much turned out to be something slightly more than askew, and out of the norm; but then, as I always say to folks, "...'normal', as set forth by today's standards, is absolutely boring!!!"
