Well i think it would not be october because since 1995 and on they made the playoffs every year , and many yankee fans have been use to going to october . I think the number one goal would in the AL beat the yankees so they would not move on . Many people say they wont make the playoffs this year. I think they will because well of course im a yankee fan i have faith in them they will.
So would it really be Ocotber without the yankees not in the playoffs

It would be great without the Yankees in the playoffs!
The nation is tired of seeing the Yankees in the playoffs
or world series every year. I know that you Yanks fans, and
in particular New York fans can't see the logic of SO many
people disliking the Yanks, but it's reality. Also, the city of
New York is not the heart and soul of America, or the world
for that matter.....
The Yankees are a high salary team with many stars. The
Yankees are great not because they're "the Yankees", it's
because George Steinbrenner(did i spell his name right?)
makes them that way. Luckily for you Yankees fans you have
a man like GEORGE! No matter how hard you try to say
Yankees this, and Yankees that, most baseball fans are
really bored with this must win it every year at all cost, or
it's the end of the world attitude.........................

While i would be dissapointed i know that eventually it wil happen. I remember seeing the Yankees not be in the playoffs from 1982-1994 before i saw them get in the playoffs & another year(1996) before they made it to the World Series. I even saw them in last place(1990). It was a very frustrating time to be a Yankee fan to be sure but i stayed loyal to them no matter what.

People everywhere are tired of one man manipulating the free agent market - EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!!!! It's so sad to see that the Yankees have to BUY THEIR WAY THERE every single year. If George Steinbrenner wasn't as ARROGANT AS HE IS, I think there would be more Yankee Fans out there!!!! I used to like them until I saw them MANIPULATE the market. I think there should be restrictions on it!!!! The smaller market teams - HAVE NO CHANCE IN HELL -- at going anywhere without some big names on their roster!!!!! This is a fact!!!!! So, to see the Yankees staying home for October and Mr. Steinbrenner so broke from not getting his revenue from the playoff games....... Would be so great to see and be great for the rest of MLB!!!!! Somehow i doubt we'll be so lucky.
Listening to Tim McCarver gush all over the Yanks is pure torture. His commentary should be ruled "cruel & unusual punishment" and banned from life in these United States.

I think that the yankees not being in contention for the fall classic would actually mean that the team facing them in the first round would actually have to work in order to move on, seeing as they have choked for the past however many years.

It would be amazing to have the Yankees out of the playoffs. So much better then the previous years and no the Yankees will not make the playoffs.
