Funny, some guy left $40 at the gas station today. One of the cashiers went out to flag the guy down but the truck already left.
Go to your bank and freeze your accounts just in case. If someone is using your account number, they can track the guy down. I don't know what you can about the social security card, besides report it stolen. I hope someone finds the wallet and mails it back to you.

Are you sure you didn't misplace it somewhere at your house or something. If you really did lose it you should call your bank right away and report it lost or stolen. They can also give you the number to the credit reporting agencies so that you can have a security alert put on your credit. I had to do that. What happens is that when you go to apply for a loan or something it will be a little harder because they will have to do more secure things. I would do that right away but only if you are sure you lost it out somewhere.

Kiss the wallet and everything in it goodbye. Inform your bank that some one may attempt to use your account and you should watch it like a hawk, even consider having a new account number issued. Get in touch with the social security office and get yourself a new card.

Chances are that someone will find it, and either mail the license back. but then there are those who love to steal your identity, like in my case, mine was stolen out of my home in Idaho, and 10 years later I am finding I can not get unemployment insurance becuase it shows that I worked out of state.. I have not done this. so it is pretty sad that people do this to others.
Maybe you will find it somewhere where you forgot that you may have put it, and it will relieve your worries.
Hope it shows up.. you will have to change your social number and get a new license. and then you should be okay, but do report it as stolen to the credit bureau's so that they know if something should start appearing on your credit report that you didnt do.

I hope someone returns it to you and in the meantime call your bank and the Dept. of SS.
I know how you feel I have lost several wallets over the years and none were ever returned. The worst was when I lost approx $450 - a car payment right there.
Good luck :-)

wallet. maximum persons have better keys to maximum each thing. yet a wallet on the different hand has in basic terms one in each of each thing. As in license, credit enjoying cards and despite the fact that else you hold in it. So in case you lose it you're screwed. yet with keys oh properly get the extras and then make new ones.

i once lost my wallet when I went on a roller coaster...I found it like 5 minutes later at the lost and found at the amusement park...it was almost as if my wallet had flown there all by itself...Maybe your wallet is somewhere safe :) but when you look at it in a realistic kind of way, the odds of finding your wallet are very slim. but then again, there is always a chance of someone returning it or you finding it.

Depends on where you live (city, etc.) and where you lost it. I doubt it will be mailed back to you.
From experience, NEVER carry your Social Security card in your wallet.
Be sure and notify the SS office and your bank, etc. ASAP.
Sorry this happen to you, it happen to me once too.

This is 2007 not the 30's.
You will never see it again (99%) and if you do all the cash will be missing.
Just call your bank and credit card company ASAP.
I am sorry for your unfortunate event.

it could happen. I have returned several wallets to their owners over the years, including one that had over $900 in it.
are you sure you did not misplace it? if you know where you lost it, and there was significant cash in it, you might want to look around at local garbage cans.
but, you know, someone may return it.
yeah, it could be worse. I lost my virginity about 30 years ago and still can't find it...
