We find out if we're having a boy or a girl in one week! We have a boy name picked out, but we're between two for a girl name. I love both and I can't decide. I've done the whole poll thing, so now I thought I'd try something different. What impression do you get when you hear these names?
Heidi
Eliza

Eliza Anne . . . I like it. It sounds dignified and steady, but with a little zip to it. It has personality. I like her already ;-D. And Eliza has about a dozen good nicknames.
Heidi Anne is fine, but sounds a little too goodie-two-shoes - as if it should be called out the window by a 50's mom to her her little girl in pigtails and a checkered, ruffled dress.
But, maybe that's exactly what you're going for. I dunno.
Either way, I'm sure she'll be beautiful. Congratulations!

I love Eliza. I think it fits better with Jackson and Wiley. It has the same southern charm kinda feel. Eliza Anne is gorgeous. Heidi is cute too though, but I just think Eliza fits better with your son's name. Jackson Charles and Eliza Anne are soo wonderful together!!!!!

I had a dachshund named Heidi, so thats what I think of when I hear that name...and when I hear Eliza I think of Pygmalion (My Fair Lady). I do have a friend named Eliza, and I know she gets frustrated because people always mispronounce it even though it seems like a name that would be easy to say.

Heidi makes me think of Shirley Temple in the movie Heidi. Its a really old movie....but I like it better than Eliza.
Eliza makes me think of Eliza Doolittle who was Audrey Hepburn playing in an old movie too. And I'm trying to remember the name of it, its really good. Shes a poor person living on the streets in England and a man takes her in and makes her all proper and everything.

When I think....Heidi - shy person, not too outgoing, enjoys being out of the limelight, loves playing dolls, and wers dresses, etc.
On the other hand, Eliza - Kinda spunky, outgoing, tomboyish, a jeans and t-shirt, ready to go girl. This girl can wear dresses as well, but is one of the boys.

Heidi is cute, Eliza, not so good.
How about something more conventional, but not used much lately, like Todd, Eric or Edward/Ed/Eddie?
By the way, didn't you have an ultrasound/
That is how we found out what our baby was at 5 months.

Heidi - I think sweet and tenderhearted. I tend to think of a tiny little blonde with fair skin, too.
Eliza - I think of a real headstrong stinker (meaning she has a tough streak and gets her way, I guess) - but kind to people at the same time.
Heidi is my favorite name of the two, though (not that you asked, but just wanted to add that).
Congratulations! What is the boy name, by the way? Just curious....
