They are planning to charge him and my understanding is they are just waiting for him to get out of office. That is why he withdrew from the world court and he has a get out of jail free card, including a provision that he cannot be arrested and brought before a US court for war crimes, including torture!
He did all this under the Military Commissions Act in 2006, which is unconstitutional as hell!
And Law Gun! Clinton was never impeached! No president has been impeached. In order to be impeached you have to be convicted by the Senate by 2/3 majority. In Clinton's case, which Ironic as Trent Lott was cheating on his wife at the time, barely got 50% of the votes after his trial. He WAS NOT impeached! I know, they all say he was, but go look at the record at what has to happen before you are impeached! Did you see him leave the White House? He is still getting his presidential retirement salary. I hate when people say he was impeached, when he was not!

I knew that Nuremburg stuff would come back to haunt us. We should have just shot them because they were the losers and been done with it. Now every wannabe in the world thinks they can hold "war-crimes trials" if they don't like the way another head of state acts.
This is the exact reason Bush backed out of the International Criminal Court (a shame IMHO). But if the President is going to be held personally responsible for every stupid act that every lower ranking US military soldier or officer ever does, then I guess he was justified.

What makes a war illegal? There's no such thing as an illegal war. If you had the balls to join the military you'd know that. There has been no "torture" of innocent civilians. That's just you liberal lies once again. There is no list except for the BS lies told by many liberals. You people would lie and say the sky was green if it made your point for you.

It will not happen !!! Even if it should. No U.S. ally is going to indict a U.S. president past or present for war crimes. Get on with your life and understand this is a lost cause. I'm as liberal a democrat as there is but I know this Will not happen. The U.S. would pull out of NATO before giving up a president to war crimes trials.

Illegal war? Torturing innocent people?
Go back to Afghanistan and fight with the Taliban so my brother can add you to his kill count.
PS. He didn't let Scooter off any more than Bill Clinton was IMPEACHED for the exact same crime (lying under oath), yet Bubba didn't do any time, now did he? Libby was a scapegoat. He deserved a commuted sentence, but his conviction still remains.

Your question shows the dismal state our Country is in.We have Democrats hoping and praying our President fails, not caring about what consequences that America pays.I was told of the days when America backed their leaders, not their party. Now more than ever when he needs the support of Americans they turn their backs on him.

Because the Bush administration has made the American legal ,system into a joke that only serves to protect his cronies and defend his interests and allies and because the Democratic party as a whole with the exception of some courageous individuals has shown itself too weak to stand up to the far right death grip on American politics

Do a search about what torture really is, and get therapy for your liberal condition.
