It would certainly be ironic if he had been since it was he who coined the term:

Like almost all of us, he likely had some of the traits, but I very much doubt he was pathologically so.

Actually, probably more a Buddhist and pessimist in strange combination. Beyond that, he was a great fan of cigars and cocaine from what i've heard, so, perhaps a hedonist? :))))
