Nothing happens to the airplane. But some people on the plane may not like to see what is happening. The tower may not be workable so the plane may not be able to land. But the airplane as it is in the air is not effected.

Nothing, because the majority of the shaking in an earthquake is side to side rather than up to down it would hardly effect the air at all, and even if it did the nature of the gas in the air allows it to compress and expand easily, unless the earthquake was massive and they were over a populated area it is unlikely they would even be able to tell there was one until word came over the radio

Airplane passengers wouldn't even know about it unless they were flying low enough to see the effects on the ground.

the people in the plane would see buildings possibly shaking or falling over, i dont see how you could think it would effect an air plane. unless they were just about to land or take off, then it would just shake it like it does everything else.
