what sort of plants do i need to use.... i'm helping my little brother for a science project for school and although i don't want to go all out id still like to keep it at home afterwards...

What a cool big sister. Here's an idea that will make you the coolest in your little brothers eyes as well. One of the easiest and most fascinating terrariums are the ones using carnivorous plants. I have a 7 year old who is infatuated with these plants and especially the Venus Fly trap as I think most boys are. Not only are they interesting, but they are easy because a terrarium environment is not unlike their natural environment. You can find carnivorous plants almost anywhere like Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. If you are interested here are two sites that you will find very helpful.
