This is meant as a sarcastic response to those insanely redundant "Who's going to win the Stanley Cup?" questions. First off, like people answering NHL teams for 288's question with the heading i just asked, anyone who points out that they're two different sports will be shot, and encouraged to receive as many thumbs down as this section can give. Secondly, you don't necessarily have to guess a specific team. Any other comical answers are just as welcome. Well, enough for now! Start predicting!

Otherwise, great answers all around. Here's my picks for all the sports championships:
Buffalo Sabres win the World Series
Dallas Stars win the Super Bowl (Dallas is used to Super Bowl champs from the 90s)
Boston Bruins win the NBA Title (Chara can practically dunk without jumping)
Red Wings win the MLS Cup (beating the Rangers in the final match)
Maple Leafs win the World Series of Poker
Kings win America's Cup (boat racing)
The Dead Horse wins the Triple Crown (fitting, huh?)
Blues win the PGA Tour (with lenghty off-seasons, they've had plenty of time to hone their golf skills)
Thrashers win the NASCAR Nextel Cup (led by star driver Ilya Kovalchuk)
Have I forgotten any sports? Oh well, that's a pretty good list anyway.

I have two predictions tonight, the first being on 288's question.
A new league will soon be formed, September 8th to be exact, the league will be called the BAMFSHL (bad @ss mother f*ckers Hockey League)
They will compete with the winner of the NHL (the Blue Jackets) for the World Series. The team that prevails in the BAMFSHL will be the Mississippi Mud Hens.
The team is stacked with this unbelievable roster:
(only one line is needed)
Center- Chuck Norris "C"
Left Wing- Clint Eastwood "A"
Right Wing- Dick Cheney (don't get in the way of this snipers shot!)
Defense- Bob Barker (just watch Happy Gilmore) "A"
Defense- Clay Aiken (he's not afraid to check from "behind")
Goalie- Rosie O'Donnell (try getting a puck past this big butch babe)
Coach- George W. Bush (no matter how pointless the fight gets, he'll never let his team quit)
When this team meets the Blue Jackets it will be a complete smack down, a sweep in a best of seven series. The Blue Jackets will suffer many injuries, physical and mental.
And there you have it, the Mississippi Mud Hens, your 2008 World Series Champions.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will win the World Series of Golf.And the Toronto Maple Leafs will win the World Series.
The Redwings will win the Indy 500, and The Sabres will win the MLS Cup.
The Philly Flyers will repeat as NBA champs
And the Predators,lead by Jordin TooToo will win the LPGA
US Open
The Ducks will repeat as Super Bowl champs

I hope that the Red Wings go all the way to the Super Bowl! Yeah!
And while they're at it, they're gonna win the NBA Finals, the English Premier League, the World Baseball Classic, and take home a dozen gold medals in Olympic swimming.

I think the Maple Leafs win the PGA tour instead. See it's hard to guess how the starting rotation will work when you go by Hockey teams. I mean we can tell the HITTERS but how can you tell the Pitchers? I'd say Nashville wins it though, and still can't get anyone to go to the games.

Golf has to go to the Blue Jackets as they are always golfing in playoff times.
Super Bowl will go to the Ducks and they can hit.
