No. It follows the Rules of General Relativity's cosmological constant which at One time Einstein had discarted and called it a blunder.
Quantum mechanics basically deals with the microworld in terms of lumps (packets of energy) of energy without going any further in details as to what is inside the packet of Energy.
They Break down energy in what they call a "Quantum"without defining the nature of energy.
It is Only Einstein's Field equations that attempts to describe the Energy of the macro world.
Now whether the Rules of quantum mechanics are suficiently correct to Supplant the Rules of General relativity is a matter of beliefs and scientific interpretation.
The fact that the discovery of dark matter and energy has surfaced ,means that it has existed as a part of the Creation of the Universe. It is just that even though it had been postulated by Democritus ,it had not been understood by modern physics. It is only lately realized by Cosmologists that Einstein may have been right after all about his Cosmological constant, which alluded to the existance of dark matter, dark force and dark energy.
Quantum mechanics does not deal with the Big Bang theory.
As the Big Bang alludes that the Universe was Created from the inside of a geometrical volume out of a singurlarity.
However; the Biblical record of Creation describes Creation to be the reverse of what the Big Bang theory believes how creation took place.Big Bang theory does not explain the concept of time relative to eternity as being a constant in the Universe.
Whereas, the Biblical concept is that the Universe was Created from the outside and not from the inside.
The concept of time and how fast a process can takes place during creation is just being completely misunderstood by science and other Chimerical writings concerning Time.
Our Creator of the Universe does not speak with a forked tongue. The Description of Creation in the Word of God in the Holy Bible is real.
Whereas theories and different philosophies are only Creation out of man's imaginations. The Big Bang theory indicated that the Universe is expanding . Where as in reality it is the Galxies that are either expanding or contracting within a finite volume containment to maintain gravitational equilibrium of the Universe. It is all a matter of interpreting observations ,and puting these obervations in the right perspective.

There are results on in the internet of many scientists using Quantum Mechanics to explain dark matter.. I would keep in mind however.. that your getting into subjects that are being worked out.. and people are changing the details to their work all the time..
I would think that Yes is the answer for school... but you'll have to put it into context.. so as to explain why your using that answers..
Good Luck!

Not only do I not know, but i don't understand why anyone should care!?!
Are you planning a trip?
Like they say, "Don't go there"!
My guess is "YES", dark matter follows quantum mechanics; but God only knows for sure. This is purely speculation!
How do you " fallow" the rules of quantum mechanics, any way???
Doesn't all of creation obey the Creator's laws!?! "YES"!! That is my final answer!

Dark Energy, Redshifting and Expanding Universe
Science says that the universe was created in a Big Bang 13.5 billion years ago, is still expanding today, and billions of years from now it might collapse by its own gravity with a Big Crunch or continue expanding forever (Big Rip). Moslems say that this is what Allah says. The Quran says that on the first day of creation, God made the heavens and the Earth meshed together, tight and compact (Big Bang), continues to expand it into the universe we know today and at the last day God will recompress it into it’s original state (Big Crunch).
About the first day (Big Bang), Allah says:
[Quran 21.30] Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the Earth were meshed together then We ripped them apart? And then We made of water everything living? Would they still not believe?
About the expanding universe, Moslems say that Allah told them about this expansion 1400 years before it was discovered:
[Quran 51.47] And the heaven, We built it with craftsmanship and We are still expanding.
Scientists just confirmed the existence of "Dark Energy", a mysterious repulsive force that acts in opposite to gravity. As the distance increases the attractive gravitational force decreases but this mysterious repulsive force increases. This repulsive force is pushing galaxies apart; the greater the distance the greater the repulsion. Scientists today do not know what this "Dark Energy" is, but they know that it is causing the entire universe to expand at an increasing rate. Do you remember how a rose opens up? That is, the outer petals move outwards more than the inner petals?

Personally I think that there are laws that govern particles that are trillions of times smaller than the particles that quantum physics govern. So we'll have to come up with a new name for those types of laws.

Everything else does on the quantum level, so we have no reason to suspect it doesn't. However, as it doesn't interact with anything like normal matter does, it's hard to tell for sure.

You are right it does have its own laws and we are still trying to figure out what all those laws are. But, once we get a handle on the GOD PARTICLE I think everything will get a whole lot easier.
