They call it McPaper. It's good if you're a fifth grader.

It's okay, not a paper that will make you much smarter, but then I guess there are many papers that will actually make you dumber. So in a nutshell: If there's one at the place where I'm staying I'll pick one up and have a good time reading it, but if I'm buying a paper myself it'll probably be the NY Times or the International Herald Tribune (or the Guardian or The Times in the UK, but that's a whole different story).

I think it serves a function. It's a quick read designed for people on the go, without much in-depth coverage of issues and events. I think of it as a good second read, or a good way to stay up on some national events while traveling.
I'm surprised it hasn't hired a few top of the line columnists, though.

Here's the thing about USA Today: it tries to cram too much of the day's news from all around the US into one daily newspaper. The REAL "we report, you decide" media outlet.

USAToday is a fine paper, relax. They were among the first to call BS on the Bush administration's motives for this war.

the sports section is pretty good. they always seem to have some good college football thing on the front page on fridays, but i'm too embarrassed to buy one. i guess it's ok to be seen with one if you're staying at a residences inn.

I think it is factual. Its mission never was to be an investigative paper. I think its great when one is traveling and wants a quick view of objective news.
