It's rather doubful your 60gb hard drive has much to do with the slow speed of your Internet surfing, unless it's almost full. Open My Computer, right-click on your hard drive, and choose properties from the pop-up menu. You'll see a window with a pie chart telling you how full your hard drive is. As long as you're not over 90% or so, you should be fine.

If the drive's almost full, click the Disk Cleanup button and follow the prompts to delete some unnecessary files.

The hdd of 60 gigs it is the space that you can use to store files.
The processor speed and the RAM you have are used to know if your computer is fast or not.
Also you might want to get a better Internet Connection if you surf slow and it takes more time to load pages

Surfing the internet really has nothing to do with the harddrive.

Speed of the internet is dependant on these. (In order of importance)

1) amount of memory in youre computer.
2) How long its been since you have run an anti-spyware program.
3) How many programs you have runnning in youre tray (Bottom right corner of youre screen by the clock)
4) the last time youve cleaned out youre cookies.

If you dont have an antispy running, I suggest Yahoo Antispy and Avast. (Both Free)

has nothing to do with your hard drive space. It is your connection, or your IP. If you are on dial up, it will be slow.

You're talking disk-space;-} when you need speed.
What kind of modem & line do you have. dial-up or cable?
And what is your processor (CPU) speed?
