I've been in my school's drama program for 2 years, last year succeeding in grabbing my 1st lead role. I'd like to do it again, but how?

Congrats on getting your first lead! The best way to suceed in high school drama is to always participate. Don't be picky about the roles you get, take everything and make it the best role in the show. This doesn't mean that you should upstage! When the directer has confidence and trust in you, he is more likely to give you a lead.

If you are helpful in other ways besides being an actor you have a better chance of being well thought of by the director. Other wise, there is nothing you can do to insure getting the lead again. Just give it your best shot
