Baby, I don't know about you but I think men (regardless of orientation) are very sexy in an akimbo stance. Did I mention I love martial arts?

When I was young I thought that was an obnoxious pose. People pretending to be important or some such.

Then I grew up. Now I know it either means nothing, or there is a belt that needs tightening.

In other words... striking a pose of any kind only has meaning to the striker of the pose and should not be important to anyone else!

I don't consider it effeminate; unless of course the man doing it is wearing pantyhose. Ha ha ha! Did you like that?

Seriously I don't consider it effeminate at all; don't know why others do.

In general, it isn't the "putting the hands on the hips" that would make it seem that way ... it would also have to do with the body language and/or oral language he may be expressing. If a 300 pound man put his hands on his hips and said he was going to whip my a@@, I sure wouldn't think he was a sissy !!! Likewise, if a guy put his hands on his hips and winked at me, I'd run like h_ _ !!!

I never heard that or thought that, and I have gay friends and I've been to gay bars(I'm straight). I've seen straight guys do that too. No thought other wise.

Do all guys that have a lisp are gay?
Or the ones that dress very GQ (stylish) gay?
Are ALL male hairdressers gay? (some are.. but not all. I know 3 with wives and kids)
Are all "butchy" looking women lesbians?
Get my point. Just trying to prove this stereotype wrong!

it looks fem. the hips are a womanly thing and turning or lean like that on your hip looks girly

But I know plenty straight men who do it out of habit they are European tho so a secure man should have no prob. doing it

Because the bible says that a man should not act like a woman in being effeminate.

some people dont but most of them do
only because a woman put her hands on her hips just to be straight (a woman hips are roundly curved and if she put her hand on it, then she would adjest her straightness)

Never have thought that; hmm, I think we are too critical of others. If we spent as much time working on ourselves, being the best we can be for ourselves and others, we wouldn't have enough time to nail others.
