Hey i did it. They say approx 3 weeks you should wait before you stop using the condom. My boyfriend and i did it and it worked. I don't think it is a risk....the pills are pretty effective providing you take them everyday.

No, it takes up to 6 weeks minimum for the birth control to even begin to take effect. The girl that I am seeing has been on the pill for years, and I still use a condom. There is no way to be sure that you are protected because the box says 99.9% safe. That is not 100% and there is always a chance. If you can have a baby and can afford that change in your life, then why are you on the pill to begin with? Until you are ready for that chance, do not have sex without a condom, period.

Every Pill is different. But the new Pills that are being subscribed are meant to work the 1st day you take them...If you started them one the 1st day of your Period.
If you started taking that Pill in the middle of your cycle, you should wait 2 weeks before unprotected sex.

I hope I was able to help you

Take care

It actually takes anywhere from 1-2 months for the pill to kick in. And its never 'safe' to not use a condom! The pill may HELP to prevent pregnancy, but it doesnt prevent diseases, STD's, and AIDS. Is that one lay honestly worth it?? Just use a condom and show how mature and smart you are. Please dont get hurt, its not worth it.

Birth control takes up to a month to be in your system and be effective. Please use another form of contraception untill then.
