Mitt Romney.
Who else can say they were elected in a state where their own political party was in the minority. Proceeded to balance the budget while govenor of the State of Massachusetts by working with the Democrats rather than against them. He passed the Nations first universal health care plan by working with Hospitals, and Insurance companies, rather than working against them. (I don't even know of any democrats who can claim that)
He started several successful companies including Staples, Brookstone, Domino's Pizza, Sealy Cooperation and The sports authority. (Do you know of anyone else who's started so many successful companies? -- I mean they guy is doing something right)
In 2002 he was asked to Chair the Winter Olympics after the scandal of the previous Chair. He took the Olympics out of debt, and actually ran them into a surplus.
I realize not all successes in life will equate to success in the White House, but really, I don't know of anyone else who has had so much success in both business and politics, and who has done so well and working across party lines. I don't know of anyone else who would have as good of a chance to unite the political parties against the problems of this country.
He's raised more money than any other Republican Canidate so far -- despite the fact that he lags both Gulliani and McCain in the polls. (Although that seems to be changing). I don't know how many people realize how un-usual that is. Usually the canidate with the most support also raises the most money, and he just won the Iowa straw poll easily.
I don't think there is a canidate on either side of the isle with more common sense, intelligence, and an ability to make things work so well.

I would vote for Edwards if he were to get the Democrat nomination. I think he has a moderate sense of how the country should be run and he appears to have the ability to unite most Americans. He doesn't have the baggage that Clinton does and he doesn't have the uncertainty or inexperience that Obama does.
As for the Republicans, I think we need to have someone in control who does not create debt like the Republicans do. Republicans have lost their way as far responsibility to the people and the future. They are too caught up in scandals and corporate schemes to be reliable. I know this doesn't apply to all Republicans, but until they improve their image, they will be all painted with the same stroke.

I plan to vote for whomever is nominated by the Democratic Party. I have confidence that the best candidate will win the nomination. I believe in the Democratic platform, for the most part, and could never vote for a Republican and then hope he/she would follow our platform. That would be nuts! I'd like to see Joe Biden win, but doubt that he will.

Ron Paul his ideals are closer to my own
vote libertarian
the only wasted vote is for the status quo
National Platform of the Libertarian Party
Adopted in Convention, July 2, 2006, Portland Oregon
Preamble
As Libertarians, we seek a world of liberty; a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others.
We believe that respect for individual rights is the essential precondition for a free and prosperous world, that force and fraud must be banished from human relationships, and that only through freedom can peace and prosperity be realized.
Consequently, we defend each person's right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The world we seek to build is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power.
These specific policies are not our goal, however. Our goal is nothing more nor less than a world set free in our lifetime, and it is to this end that we take these stands
this is a great start to their platform, in my opinion they are the best party out there
rest of the platform is listed on there website

Another vote for Ron Paul here! Dr. Paul's views on most issues are in line with my views. Stop the war-mongering, secure our borders, limited federal government, states rights, never voted for harsher gun control measures, etc etc.
You guys remember the Constitution right?

Former senator Mike Gravel.
For many reasons, but mainly because hes a man of courage and integrity, and I feel we badly need one of those in the White House after the last 20 years.

Well, I live in Utah, and don't want to see more Republican disaster...but Utahns love their Republicans...so I might as well vote for the guy or girl from Pluto.
