If you buy the boiler you will be faced with the problem of finding someone to fit it. Your best bet is to get at least 3 estimates to carry out "supply and fit" I agree the boiler should be sited as close as possible to where you use most water, not in the garage or you will have to draw off copious amounts of cold water to get hot,,if you are on a water meter bad news. I should think you should be prepared to spend between £2OOO to £3OOO as an estimate (job unseen)

check out B&Q as they're advertising Ravenheat condensing boilers for £499! Ravenheat have been around for an prolonged time and that i think of the assure would be 3 years. They do a combi version and a alternative for a boiler that heats a HW cylinder. The boiler output ought to the two be adjustable or computerized as they talk with super or small homestead. satisfied heating. p.s. I you or some relative is over 60 you will get 10% off on Wednesdays! (no longer on the relatively super shops)

It's so difficult to give a figure without a great deal more info. The really is no such thing as a cheap boiler. Merchants play off against each other all the time. Simply shop around regularly. A total off the cuff price for replacing a boiler based on your question should be 2 to 2.5K. Get a pro to quote you properly tho.

i guess the garage is attached to the house ?a condensing boiler 100000BTU will cost you £750 or thereabouts ,you can buy on line or any merchants I would suggest you get the fitter to buy it as he will have his own source .If the boiler is being replaced within 10 meter of existing one the cost to fit would be £650 roughly
Good luck

ok heres the problem...

You can buy them from as little as £300 from B&Q but legally you need a corgi registered person to fit one. they know this & charge a fortune to fit them quotes i got were £1500 to fit it.

but strangley if you buy one from a corgi person & they fit it the total bill was £200 cheaper ?

unless you know a corgi registered person to fit it for you its going to be expensive.

You can have it anywhere but ventilation & the overflow may be an issue.
