Unfortunatly I don't know who wrote it. I think it might be an army poem, not sure.

The poem entitled "The Standard" was written by Marjorie Brown.

Hiya! I am searching now... having trouble. Do you know who wrote it? Or when it was published?


update: hmmm... Have you read it before? Can you recall any of the lines or phrases? I am thinking that the title you have might be incomplete...

update: I am assuming that Standard refers to a flag?

update: I am so sorry! I am not having any luck at all finding this poem. If you go to university library, one of the research librarians there can probably have better luck. They have some pretty cool computer resources for this kind of thing. I'll keep trying, but I just can't think of any other ways to research it! Sorry!!
