why is it that non-smokers feel that they have the right to preach to smokers about the "mistake" that they are making!?!?

I call it being - Holier than thou.

It's a form of one-upmanship.

If the non smokers are fat just remind them of their mistake.

Simply put....they can choose to smoke....but I do NOT choose to breathe 2nd hand smoke. My husband smokes and I don't. I find it sooooooo disgusting, but...cigarettes is what he wants, so that's what he gets, but....when the time comes that he's lying in a hospital bed because he's got cancer from smoking, I will NOT be by his side. He chose his bed and didn't give a hoot about me asking/begging him not to, so at that point HE will be living with his choices.

I'm waiting for all the 'thumbs down' now.

People look at others mistakes as a way of not looking at their own.
