Like you know a man goes to the trouble to make a compliment and it's a kindness thing for me to make the compliment and just brush it off....not nice

I do that all the time...never snobby, but more like unaffected.
Compliments don't always do it for me...and my present mental states plays a big part in that as well.
My men know this about me...and they accept it as part of who I am. They may even joke about it. But, they never get upset or hurt feelings over it...

I'd think she's under confident and does not know how to take compliments or ignorant depending on her manner/body language. (I know you said not snobby, but there are other ways of being ignorant)

I would ask her why she has a problem taking a compliment, because to act that way when someone puts themselves out to mention something nice about you is like minimizing their very existence, as if what they have to say doesn't matter.

If not snobby, I assume she is really busy, did not have time to hear me or talk to me. I would not think much more about it. I would also walk along.

She don't deserve it and won't get another one!
This isn't the lottery & I don't hand out compliments like free money.
How women respond to compliments determines if they get another one or not....so you've got appreciate them while you can...

most young people don't know how to recieve compliments or respond to them. the most accepted way is just to say "thank you". were you expecting more of a positive reaction? sorry your expectations were shot down.
