Try making friends at college with other people that you do group projects with, get involved with an organization/association at your school--how about volunteering at a place that could use your help? You can meet lots of folks in greater need than you, while also meeting other people that may be around your age also volunteering....check out your local church, or school....above all, be yourself! Don't get involved where you know it isn't going to feel right for you. Your parents have helped shape and form the character you have today; you should be proud of your accomplishments and of their faith in you. Consider the things that interest you, and take those to a grander, next level: if it's politics, consider getting involved with student senate on campus, for example. Or stamp collecting, well check out your local stamp collecting society on campus...or in your town. Audition for a play. Plant a tree. The list goes on and on....and you can meet lots of folks doing these things....

Hi...

it seems as if you have quite a lot of ambition, and you ought to be proud of yourself.

you are going to college -- do they have extracurricular activities there? what about joining a gym, or taking a class, such as Karate.. you can meet new people by taking up an activity which involves other people, and that might be helpful.

hon, it seems that, right now, you probably don't have a heck of a lot of time for extra activities? college and work can keep someone very busy!

you are young, and you have a lot of life ahead. if not now, once you finish college and start your career, you will meet many different people, and have a fuller life (you'll likely have more spare time too!)

sending hugs and best wishes!! take care.

Since you go to college you can make lots of friends from the classes you're taking. You just have to be yourself and not be afraid to take chances in meeting new people.
