i have a masterlock and i cant open it so i want to change the combination its like a lock pad you have to turn the knob to open it how do i make a new combination????

As inexpensive as this type of lock is it might make more sense to buy a new one....As a bonus you will get the combination to the new lock for free.

is this a combination lock ? if so you have to find the combination first, if there's a reset button or key to change it , i,d call master lock first. and look on the back for a serial #
to give them, usually there's about 6 sets of numbers that a lock can be changed to,
or draw an X from the shanks to the base, at the top of the X
in the V of the X drill a 1/4 inch hole, just thru the casing, use a flashlight find the U shaped notch by a latch, rotate it like your going to dial in the combination, line up all notches ]keep track of the #,s when you line them up, that's the combination , some locks cant be changed
