so, one of my droseras (insectivore plants) caught a housefly, when the housefly died, a bunch og little maggots crawled out of the fly onto the floor, kind of gross but, what was it?

I've noted this Summer in the Housefly populations in our area, white oblong eggs riding on board.
Flys get parasitised just like any other insect can be. Definitely is another type of Fly since you saw maggots, but I do not know the correct one.
Mother Fly lays eggs on the host and the young feed off the host until they hatch and then of course the host dies.
This is more commonly heard of between wasps/caterpillars and wasps/tarantulas.

Those are larva or maggots the fly probably had eggs and they hatched. The fly probably went to lay the eggs on plant.
