Technically, any artwork not released into the public domain is copyrighted.
So, if you create a duplicate of someone else's artwork -- whether as a tatoo or otherwise -- that would be a violation of copyright law.
If you know the artist (or can find contact information), write to them and ask permission for personal non-commercial use.

you may desire to supply some hyperlinks on your paintings and the different person's for human beings to decide greater suitable. there is no copyright on style although, in simple terms think of of the quite a number of fan paintings photographs for each sketch or anime possible. there's no longer plenty you're able to do approximately it, and my advice is to no longer hardship with it. this is why: once you're a reliable artist, your style will evolve and refine in time, and copycats should not be waiting to maintain up with that. as long as they are actually not certainly impersonating you via claiming your paintings as theirs, there is no project. as nicely, likelihood is they got here up with the style themselves and the similarity is totally a twist of fate. possibly they accuse you of copying too =) a reliable thank you to make certain notwithstanding if or no longer they are truly copying is to work out in the event that they use a similar matters such as you (aka purely the style is comparable, or what the image represents too?). additionally, do they carry close out on a similar web content? If no longer, perchance it is in simple terms twist of fate. regrettably, all it is amazingly uncertain without the actually examples.

Probably not, because you will not have an exact copy, as the tattoo artist will be creating their own version of the original.... That makes sense.

Artwork is copyrighted and the tattoo artist would not be able to sell it to you without a license.

I believe you are asking about COPYRIGHT laws.
Copy Write means writing for creative or marketing purposes.
And no, I'm not sure if there are any laws.
