Try this one on for size. Try going a whole week with out saying not one single negative statement, Do not criticize, do not demean, do not complain, do not belittle, do not whine, do not swear. Instead of saying something negative when you realize you are about to, try saying something positive, uplift, encourage, promote, forgive, love, tolerate, have patients, overlook the petty. This will do yourself and those around you a world of good.

Apparently not-- judging from my ratings. I try to give the answer I think is best and the asker most needs to hear but I don't think most people find it "kind". I think "kindness" is secondary to the "right" answer.
