I have run into this problem a number of times and you just deal with it. Like wanting a softserve twist ice cream cone with rainbow jimmies after the shops hours...drove me nuts, but since then i try to keep some kind of ice cream in the freezer at all times. Even though it is not softserve like i crave it ties me over until i can get it. If you don't have a subsitute the best thing to do is find something you do have and focus on it until you want that instead. It may sound stupid, but it does work. I have had mad cravings for salad with grape tomatoes and blue cheese dressing several times. I was able to stop that craving until the next day by focusing on spaghetti with butter and shredded cheese. Sounds like total opposites, but it worked. Then i craved that mixture for a few days *laughs*. Over all though my cravings have not been too bad. Good luck, i hope this helps.

It depends on how I really feel about the object. If I want to buy something that's expensive, I think about how I can find it for free or for less. Most of the time, I use the fox and the grapes trick: I tell myself that I don't want it. If it's sweets, I go to my perfumes and rub some on my skin. The best way is always not to desire, but when it's a really strong feeling, I pray. Prayer has given me the strongest an most amazing results of all.

I congratulate you for doing something it is quite not ordinary, like quitting smoking. I gave up smoking better than 30 years in the past and this pint i won't be able to bear in thoughts for a fashion long I had the yearning. What i will inform you that i became quite happy with myself and each time I observed somebody smoking I felt the kind of delight of understanding that i became waiting to do something that the different guy or woman could not. i think of that feeling of being waiting to do something that became not ordinary to do became my important motivation . by skill of ways, after a at a similar time as even the scent of tobacco will difficulty you lots which you won 't be vulnerable to purpose it lower back

I eat something that smells like it or tastes like it. One time I had a BAD craving for peanut butter cookies, so I ate some peanut butter on an english muffin.

I hate it when I crave Marshmellows and there aren't any in the fridge! But anyways, as said earlier, sleep works like a charm.

Isn't that the worst. Seems to happen to me a lot lately. Usually I just get up and do something to take my mind off it. That usually works - as long as I don't think of it again. LOL
