Obviously Israel is the bully. And the Palestinians did not SELL their land to Israel. The British (who were colonizing Palestine at the time) were so crippled after WWII that they gave Palestine to the newly formed UN. And the UN decided since 6 million of their people died in that war and NO one in Europe wanted to deal with the jews it would be best to give the jews a land of their own. It belongs to Palestine since the British gave away something that wasn't theirs to begin with. I will agree that the Palestinian way of "fighting" is completely wrong and they will never achieve anything by straping themselves with bombs.

'Bully' isn't an apt description for either terrorists or for a highly militarized state. Nor does it remotely capture the horror and futility of 60 years of reprisal killings.
IIRC, the actual /sacred/ land - Jerusalem - is some sort of special administrative zone (that's why it can't serve as the capital of Isreal, for instance). Obviously, the status of Jerusalem is a thorny issue, since there are least 3 religions who have historically been willing to murder eachother over it.
I'd say the best solution to the arguing-over-the-sacred-land issue is to destroy it. Nuke it to glass and seed it with enough lethal fallout that anyone walking onto the 'sacred land' would be with his maker within hours. Well, or they could come to some workable compromise they could all agree to, before the bombs were set to go off.

The land was originally divided up by the owner (Britain), with approval of the United Nations. Palestine and several other nations attacked. The other nations have stood down from war many years ago, and gotten satisfactory concessions in return. Palestine, on the other hand, remains committed to the destruction of Israel.
Screw the Palestinians until they drop that from their charter.
If the Palestinians want the land that was called Palestine back (which was occupied by the Romans well before it was renamed "Palestine"), why aren't they asking for the parts of Lebanon and Jordan back that were part of "Palestine"?
It's very clearly all aimed at Israel, and doesn't wash with people that know the History of the area. Until they stop making destruction of Israel a cornerstone of their independence, they can continue to suffer.

Israel deserves it. They have taken a scrub land and built a land where crops grow, schools teach their young and freedom is the cornerstone of that country.
The Israelis said after the Holocaust, "Never again." They mean it. The Palestinians want to destroy Israel. Make no mistake, the deaths of all Israelis and the total destruction of that country is paramount for them.
As to who deserves the Holy Land, of course both groups should. But since the Palestinians want only to kill, they are excluded. True, Israel can be hard headed but when faced with suicide bombers and terrorists each day, they need to be tough.
Support for Palestinians is support for Al Qaeda and Islamic terror.

First of all the concept of "sacred' land is the most dangerous idea mankind has ever come up with, just look at how many have died throughout history over it.
Secondly, by definition the "bully" is the stronger one, so by that definition, Israel is the bully.
The term "bully" may not be appropriate here, as there has been provocation on both sides.

after all that has happened over the years i feel that israel would be the bully as you call it. But things arent always as they seem, there is no right answer really, they have both suffered eachothers attacks. There really is no good answer but I do feel that israel is the cause, palestine is not free from faults.
there is nothing sacred in killing eachother over land.(we humans deserve to live in peace...all of us) sadly in the name of God theat the most atroutious crimes have been comitted, when you say sacred land...you answer your own question

Israel conquered that land by DEFEAT more than 4,000 years ago (or 2 million years ago if you've fallen for the evolution quip). In 1949, Israel was reinstated in that land. Period. That's how it is.
I bet you're one of these kooks who shouts "America is a land of immigrants" although I am not an immigrant, nor is anyone in my family (and you probably think that because a great-grandfather somewhere down the line came here from somewhere else makes me an immigrant .. then that would mean anchor babies are still immigrants!!)
If you believe that the land is "sacred" then you should understand what makes it sacred, and it isn't the dangerously comical palestinians.

Palestinians were there first, but don't try to argue that with Jews or Christians who believe the land is theirs because their mythological books tell them their god gave it to them.
Which side gets billions of dollars in aid from the US a year and which side is sanctioned and controlled by borders? Which side was there before and which side was an artificially created country to deal with displaced Jews after WWII? Which side is building settlements on land that isn't theirs even on official maps?
Israel is there and supported because of Jewish and Christian Zionists who believe the coming of the messiah will come while the nation of Israel exists in the holy land. Armageddon. The Rapture.
Not that the Palestinians aren't blinded by their nonsensical faith either, but it's obvious who is the powerful bully and who is the disenfranchised in this situation. It is the root of most western resentment in the Middle East and the Muslim world, yet noone wants to acknowledge it or seriously try to appease both sides, because you can't make both sides happy- they both believe the land is theirs, and both are willing to kill the other for it.
