Enjoy.

I had a vasectomy and two things happened to the sex. For a few weeks, it was a bit tender - painful even, because the two little wounds seemed to pull against stitches and then against other tissues. It put me off vigorous sex during that time and I had to develop cleverer approaches to positions, speed, hard-humping and all that. My partner said she enjoyed that time of trying out and finding new softer ways to make love.
After that, the changes were mostly in my head and very beneficial. No risk of pregnancy so no condoms, no contraceptive pills, no worries. She liked that very much indeed and became more adventurous and proactive. She introduced toys into our sex and special little kinks, which she hadn't before. The worry of pregnancy had disappeared and we never looked back.
Actually, years later I wish I could have it reversed before it's too late to have more children, but I've been told it wouldn't work in my case. Too good a job by the original surgeon !
That's something to think about.

I had a vasectomy a year ago. Apart from being out of action for a couple of weeks after, I have noticed no difference at all in sensation. If anythign its better because you don't have to mess around with condoms etc so it adds to the moment. I did notice my seminal fluid wasn't quite as copius, but to be honest thats never caused a problem. As long as your husband doesn't mind being tender for a couple of weeks (at the most) you will be fine.

I think the difference he feels in his sex life after the surgery is just psychological.
Honestly would a ½ million men, every year, in the USA alone get vasectomies if it changed their sex life?
Sperm represent only about 4% of the total volume of the semen. The sperm are no longer present in the semen after a successful vasectomy. They will not be missed, because the volume of the sperm is so small.
Most of what you hear about vasectomies is pure “urban legend”. Many references are made to vasectomies in TV sitcoms. I think that is the source of all the "urban legends". Only listen to men that have actually had one done.
I got mine done when I was 21. That was 20 years ago. I never felt anything change.

Hi There,I had the snip 14 yrs ago(aged 30)-worst part was the kids jumping on my lap for a week or so!!!-there is NO change at all-you just lose the tadpole content!which is minimal as far as the content goes!-the seminal fluid is still discharged etc-you wont see or feel any differance.
Rich.

Your husband is imagining things. I've worked with dozens of sexually active men who've had vasectomies, and after the appropriate healing period, they enjoy sex as much as before - some say they enjoy it more now.

Things changed for my husband and he had chronic PVPS (post vasectomy pain syndrome). Sex became painful, as did most activities for him. He reversed because of it and seems ok now. I know we don't recommend vasectomy to anyone, but often, people have to live and learn for themselves.

My husband said everything felt the same. I know he would tell me if it was different, because he wasn't really sure if he wanted to have one. Neither of us wanted more kids, but he was afraid of this very issue. Is it possible your husband's feel different because of the cyst they removed? Maybe the cyst is what made it feel more powerful and by removing the obstruction it made it the way it was intended to be. But to him it feels different because he was used to the way the cyst made it feel.

apart from feeling a bit sore and tender afterwards there should be no difference to your sex life, just take precautions until after his final sperm sample has been analyzed to make sure that the op has worked....then enjoy!!!!
