Sure do - I just cannot accept that this world of ours is the only thing in the whole of the universe and infinity that exists - I also think that things in this world are too finely tuned to be based on pure luck. With regards to evolution, how come all of the worlds' greatest achievements have occurred over the last few centuries - am I expected to believe that for the millions of other years we were "evolving" we learnt nothing exceptional other than the basics of eating, reproducing and hunting!!!
The bible, in my opinion, is something akin to a great story which could have possibly been to keep people in check in the olden days or to give faith when times were hard.
Sorry, but I do think that there is life on other planets - planets that are not even remotely near to being found, and this could just be simple plant life or the proverbial little green men - I do happen to think that we probably started off as an experiment from a life form far more superior than ours - it's not impossible - I remember at school Blue Peter or something similar asked for children to write in and suggest something to plant on the moon to see if it could grow, etc. A girl won with the request of sending up mushrooms! Don't know how they're doing now but whats to say that things like this haven't happened in the past and that after seeing things were going okay they kept popping other items in and testing our metal by throwing all manners of things at us!
I really need to stop drinking these cheeky vimtos on a Saturday night!

As far as I know from being a chemist, self replicating molecules may be hard to make by random chemical reactions but clearly not impossible. And once they exist by definition they will continue to exist and presumably change, gaining complexity until they can be called life. So given the size of the universe with the number of stars (more stars than grains of sand on earth sic) and number of planets (since we've started looking it seems that everywhere you look there's a planet) I'd say that life probably isn't the exception but is more than likely the rule.
I do think though that intelligent life would be far less likely, we only happen to be because that is what gave us an evolutionary edge.

I think it's really conceited for us to think that we are the only life in existence. Yes, the bible tells us that God created us and our world. We put our own slant on that. We cannot possibly know if there are or are not other life forms out there also reading the bible - probably not our form but who knows? I believe in God and in Christ but honestly have to say - Genesis tells us of the creation. Were there any witnesses? I don't think we should be so arrogant as to assume that our world/planet was the only one He created. I totally believe that God is the ultimate being but I don't pretend to know where He came from! He just is. Maybe our world was just an experiment that didn't work out......that doesn't mean He doesn't love us. Maybe He went on to create something more successful.

yes i do think there is life on other planets because it would be very naive to think we are the only planet with life in a whole universe. there could be another life that does not need water to survive but another substance. and they have found life on a meteor rock in the form of micro organisms which would be the start of large lifeforms.

Do you believe in life after love?
That's another way of saying no. I believe all the other planets in our solar system exist as a barrier - basically to protect ours from meteors and the like.
And there are other solar systems - for all we know, each and every star out there has its own solar system.
But I wouldn't be all that surprised either way. Not after watching Doctor Who.

can't think of a reason why there wouldn't be - it may not be exactly the same as us - more advanced or less - more believable than god anyway.
I'm a bit of a stargazer and i often wonder when I'm looking at the stars if someone out there is doing the same thing asking the same questions about extra terrestrial life

To think that we are the only form of life in the universe is human; It's also egocentric! That's like saying we are the only intelligent life form here on earth...of course we know that's not true

Yes, but not in this solar system (not counting possible bacteria in the soil of Mars, of course). With as many galaxies and stars in the Universe, the Law of Probability tells us that there have to be many, many planets like ours somewhere out there.

This also teaches us that there is life only on this planet Earth.
[41:9] Say, "You disbelieve in the One who created the earth in two days, and you set up idols to rank with Him, though He is Lord of the universe."*
[41:10] He placed on it stabilizers (mountains), made it productive, and He calculated its provisions in four days, to satisfy the needs of all its inhabitants.*
[41:11] Then He turned to the sky, when it was still gas, and said to it, and to the earth, "Come into existence, willingly or unwillingly." They said, "We come willingly."
------------------------------...
*41:1 For the significance of these Quranic Initials, see Footnote 40:1.
*41:9-10 The ``days'' of creation represent a yardstick. Thus, the physical universe was created in two days, while the calculation of provisions for all the creatures on earth required four. This also teaches us that there is life only on this planet Earth.
[41:12] Thus, He completed the seven universes in two days, and set up the laws for every universe. And we adorned the lowest universe with lamps, and placed guards around it. Such is the design of the Almighty, the Omniscient.

most likely, with the number of galaxies and random planets out there, you would have to be crazy to think otherwise.
just a few weeks ago, i think i read something on the nasa news about a planet beyond our current reach has been located that may be able to be life supportive. due to its earth like features from pictures and data taken by exploring satellites, and advanced telescopes.
