The supposed "suicide" of the Wizard of Oz.?

I've done a ton of research on this, and frankly I don't know where anybody got the idea that a suicide had taken place on the set of Wizard of Oz. I've asked people who claim to be 100% positive a suicide existed for a name, an autopsy, SOMETHING that could convince me, and their responses are all shady. I also learned Munchkins weren't even in town when the scene where Tin Man is introduced - they didn't show up for filming for a good time afterwards. There was also an odd coincidence that saw a stage light flicker during this supposed "suicide scene", but I'd like to think the producers of the film were strict on stage crew members being caught in the middle of the action.

For the believers of this "suicide" - Is there any proof, anything legit, you can give me that can prove a suicide had indeed occured?

The video allegedly shows a munchkin hanging himself after a love affair on the set. It has been proven to be a very large bird spreading its wings.

OK. i have not been researching it but the way i look at it is that if someone really did commit suicide on the set in one of the scenes, they would not have been allowed to produce the film with that scene.

no suicide. it was a bird. animals were brought onto the set to help with the fantasy feel. where people think they've seen someone hanging from a tree, they're actually seeing a very large bird.

You're right, there's no truth to the suicide in "The Wizard of Oz". It's just an urban myth: http://www.snopes.com/movies/films/ozsuicide.asp
