If someone held their breath and was able to teleport to the Moon would they be able to keep teleporting back and forth and just do stuff on the Moon or would it be impossible to hold your breath in space.

Also how long if they could would they be able to hold their breath for in space.

P.S the thing about people exploding is a myth.

Ever heard of the bends? Aka decompression sickness. It happens to divers that go up to the surface too quick. Small bubbles of gasses that went into solution in the blood because of the pressure suddenly goes out of solution when the pressure is relieved. The bubbles then wreak havoc on the body. And if you take a deep breath from your respirator deep down below, hold it and quickly go to the surface your lungs WILL explode... Same thing would happen, only worse, if you are suddenly exposed to a vacuum. If you tried to hold your breath your lungs would come out of your nostrils... Also every bubble of gas in your body would expand and pop just about every blood vessel and capillary. You would die. Horribly.

If you could teleport to the moon why not put on a spacesuit and get some real work done?

Read Arthur C. Clarke's book "Earthlight" for a better explanation of what happens to a person exposed to space. The skin is tough enough to hold in 1 G of pressure. Only deep undersea creatures explode if exposed to our normal 1 G sea level pressure.

As we know it teleportation is impossible so we can't determine what effort it would take, how long it would take the person to recover etc. The key to your question then becomes how long could a person survive exposure to outer space and that answer is 3 minutes.

There would be a lot of ways to die, but the fastest is to run out of breath. If you tried to hold your breath then the vacuum would suck out your lungs. It is best to try and hyper-ventilate first to super oxygenate your bloodstream before going out into space. The brain can only survive for 3 minutes without fresh oxygen so that is the most important factor. True you blood would start to boil and the radiation would burn off your skin, the cold would freeze your eye balls and other gross things would happen, but you could survive that. You can't survive the lack of oxygen though.

Sinn7 the atmosphere pressure on the moon, often called Luna is near vacuum, it would be the same atmospheric pressure as it is just outside of the space station. I think you got confused or mistyped your answer.

I think the record for someone holding their breath without passing out is 6 minutes, but that was without any exertion or activity.
And I think because of the reduced air pressure in space, that the air pressure in the lungs would very quickly force you to exhale.
And since it would be a lot colder than on Earth, that would cause involuntary shivering and muscle spasms that would probably stop your breath-holding.

Well either way it wouldn't matter they would be dead very quickly if only because of the extreme hot and cold on the moon, not to mention if they were in the sun the massive burns they would have all over their body near instantly

Good question,,I believe so...and as for teleportation...scientists have already held successful experiments in teleportion...They only moved a few photons of light from one place to the next...but one day who knows.

I'm not sure but I think the atmospheric pressure on the moon is much heavier than here on earth and the person's body wouldn't be able to handle it
