Many countries try to block the U.S. from executing their citizens that are found guilty of murder.

Each year, around 10,000 Americans are killed by undocumented workers. That is a fact that our liberal media refuses to let people know.

Also, over 25% of all federal prisoners are foreigners according to prison statistics gathered by the federal government. Well over 10% of the prison population consists of adult children of undocumented workers.

To azawalli:
No where did I say "murder" when I said "Each year, around 10,000 Americans are killed by undocumented workers. That is a fact that our liberal media refuses to let people know"

Here is the reference: "
Those Who Hire Illegal Aliens Cause Americans 9,125 Deaths Annually.
Iowa’s United States Congressman Steve King told a crowd in Des Moines in June, “Illegal aliens cause the death of 25 American citizens every day…13 by drunken driving and 12 by stabbings or gun fire.”
That daily figure adds up to 9,125 deaths annually caused primarily by illegal alien Mexicans residing in America. Mike Rosen, radio talk show host in Denver, said it wasn’t significant when you consider our country of 300 million. A listener corrected him, “It’s not significant unless it’s your father or family member who gets killed.” '

-Approximately 27.5 percent of all federal prisoners are criminal aliens .
-Illegal aliens sentenced in federal courts were more likely than legal aliens or U.S. citizens to have at least one prior conviction resulting in a sentence of at least 60 days
-In an April 2005 study, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that the number of criminal aliens incarcerated in federal facilities increased from about 42,000 at the end of calendar year 2001 to about 49,000 at the end of calendar year 2004– a 15 percent increase.
-In a population sample study of 55,322 illegal aliens completed in May 2005, GAO found that the aliens studied had been arrested approximately 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien.

UNDOCUMENTED WORKER RAPED & KILLED 16 YEAR OLD. 2005: In February, an illegal alien raped and murdered 16-year-old Brittany Binger. She was beaten so bad that the authorities needed dental records to identify her body. The alleged killer, Oswelda Martinez, had been in custody months earlier in 2004 for drunk driving, driving without a license and possessing a fake Social Security card. I'm a Conservative and I support the death penalty 100%.
Even if it doesn't cut down on crime as some people claim, I think it does and even if it didn't killing them for committing violent crimes would rid society of them thereby making it safer for the rest of us.
Once they cross the border and steal into America they have forfeited every right they have in my opinion and if they break our laws they should either be deported or given the death penalty for violent crimes.
Because we all know that soon after being deported they will try and come right back in so why deport them if they are murderers, rapist, drug dealers
and child molester if they are going to try and come back to do it again?
What have we got to lose by enforcing the death penalty?
Answer: Nothing.

People who are in favor of the death penalty don't want to simply eliminate the threat. They Want to torture the subject to death. Proof is right here in some of the previous answers. There are many ways to medically kill someone with little pain. Any veterinarian can do it. These people can state their true feelings about it in small forums but on a national level most Americans would be appalled by the truth so they cloak it in rhetoric and out and out lies. Otherwise mainstream Americans would abolish the death penalty almost overnight. I might want someone who hurt one of my family dead but I 'm not a coward. I would not want the State to do it for me.

I am a Democrat. I am against the death penalty for three reasons: 1. It is inconsistently and therefore unfairly applied, and 2. I question whether it is an effective deterrent, and 3. I do not believe that my government should be in the business of vengeance.

I do not weep for criminals who deserve death and get that justice, I just don't think our justice system can administer death evenhandedly, nor should society be focused on vengeance.

That said, I think the law of the land should apply. It should in accordance with the state law where the crime was commited.

Being an undocumented worker is irrelevant. The application of death penalty law should not be affected by their immigration status -- although it might affect whether they can be extradited. Was that your question?

The tone of vengeance and fear in some of the posters responses is EXACTLY why I oppose the death penalty. It's application is too likely to be determined by passion. It should be the application of law, no more no less. Justice -- here as elsewhere -- should be blind.

(And note that the undocumented worker was accused, not convicted of killing three people. I think in your own mind you were already stringing him/her up, just for being undocumented and accused!)

Why must one sate whether one is a Democrat or Republican? That is a private matter between people and the polling booths.

The Death Penalty is good, but unfortunately, the justice system is fraught with injustices and incorrect decisions. Brought about by bribery and all kinds or 'under the table agreements'.

You can't trust your Justice system. Just ask a Freemason.

Up until DNA testing, I was a huge supporter of the death penalty. However, since many people are being released from Death Row because of DNA evidence, lousy "eyewitnesses" and FINALLY....FINALLY....people realizing that "cutting a deal" does not maketh a very good witness on behalf of the Prosecution, I'm having to change my mind.

However, in the case of "undocumented" illegal, stealing, murdering, raping Mexicans (not to mention the 2nd generation of Cuban exiles from prisons in Havana), I believe they should be placed in hard-core prisons where our "local" worthless gang leaders can take care of them.

What's truly distressing is that people who don't believe in the death penalty are the first ones who ***** and moan about taxpayers paying to house them for 10 years while their appeals go on, and on, and on. In the meantime, the only person benefiting is the attorney/firm and psychiatrists to help them out of their distressing times and create a good little "undocumented immigrant".

Our Courts and Laws are changing as we speak....meaning that, depending on what state you live in, anyone can kill someone and plead a case of "past problems". When does this end? "My mother didn't hug me enough." "My Dad was an A$$hole and hit me." "I was starved as a child, so you can't blame it on me" crappola.

Well, we have enough problems with Laws in the USA and surrounding countries KNOW that we're soft and will "spank" instead of "beat". In the meantime, all the lawyers and all the psychiatrists are opening accounts in Switzerland and sipping pina coladas in Cancun.

Legal Mexicans? I will set out the place mat. Illegal Mexicans? Send them on a slow boat to China.

The ones that want to continue pillaging in this free country? Pack'em up and send'em to Canada. Canada will pay for their incarceration and free national health insurance. Let THEM go bankrupt.

What, exactly, are you proposing?

EDIT: You say, "Each year, around 10,000 Americans are killed by undocumented workers. That is a fact that our liberal media refuses to let people know." Please cite your source. It sounds like fiction to me. The FBI Uniform Crime Reporting indicates that there were 16,528 murders in 2003 and 16,137 murders in 2004, the latest years for which I could find numbers. The racial breakdown of offender is as follows: "In homicides where the race of the offender was known, 50.0 percent were black, 47.6 percent were white, and 2.4 percent were other races."

If what you said was true, then undocumented workers would be responsible for half of the murders in the United States each year. Since there are only around 12,000,000 to 20,000,000 undocumented workers out of a nation of 300 million, that would mean that between 4 and 6 percent of the people in the country were responsible for over half of the murders. If you honestly believe that, I'd like to know whatever it is that you're snorting, drinking, or smoking: it must be good stuff. Here's a link to my source:

Ask yourself this--why do you think ALL politicians (and I do mean ALL) allows illegal immigrants to come into this country?

It's to cause these problems. Now, it doesn't mean that legal Americans don't commit crimes. But, of course, we don't want to mention that the majority of those in prison are black now, do we?

God forbid that we, the white people, should be above the law. Now, I'm not saying that white people don't go to prison because they do.

But, if you look at the case of the corporation called Enron, you will see a disturbing picture.

First, employees of Enron are told they can't sell their shares of Enron stock. What happens next? All the big wigs in Enron can and do. What happens next? The company goes belly up. What happens next? All those people who had made good money (to save for retirement) all of a sudden didn't have any money in their retirement accounts.

Who caused that problem? WHITE people who are legal citizens. What was the penalty for these atrocities against the employees of Enron? Next to nothing.

Do yourself a favor--get your money out of your IRA's. You're the next target. If you don't believe me, keep your money in your IRA's. You'll see. It's only the rich (and by that I mean, the extremely wealthy) that will benefit from any laws that are put into place.

Now, with all that said, let me answer the question. Anyone who commits a crime that causes death to another individual, is worthy of the death penalty.

As far as being republican or democrat. I'm a neutral party who just believes in fairness for the American people.

My wife oftens argues with me in regards to these issues and my kids just kind of brush me off. But things need to be understood and that is this--quit the finger pointing thinking that politicians are out for the good of the people.

If you take the life of a defenseless person in the commission of a violent crime, you should face the Death Penalty.

Brian above. We don't care if it acts as a deterrent or not. The intention of the Death Penalty is to deter that person from killing again. It is a punishment for a crime. That's why it is called Capital Punishment and not Capital Deterrent
