wings can grow again but they won't fly quite the same. voices will sing again but with a tinge of added happiness (sadness?) that makes the song unique and lovely. hearts can love again, but remnants of loves past are always but one beat away.

Clipped wings can grow again when unclipped. It is their natural tendency to develop and make up for the result of suppressed freedom. Any physical disformity in a person may be improved with beauty and performance as it never happened before.

You need to unclip the wings first so as to make them grow...for unless one goes free, he cannot make changes. And yes, broken voices can be regained, and may be made more beautiful than ever through a more pure desire and humane intention from the heart.
Again, it takes faith to rise from where we fell, take up courage and move on. there will always be a brighter sun after the rain.

Having had birds whose wings were clipped I know so. Nana Mouskouri sings with uncommon beauty with vocal cord damage and worldwide admiration.

We do indeed have the ability to learn and move on, but are often slow to grasp the lesson we are taught.
