It's Saturday early night and my husband just wants to watch TV ? We even have a friend over who would watch our kids

Since misery loves company......my husband has worked every day this week (even today - Saturday, and tomorrow). He leaves at 7:00 in the morning and wanders in around midnight. I wanted to go to the movies today, but he was too busy working......blah! I love that he is passionate about his job, but sheesh - I want some attention.

He could be out having fun with a mistress... wouldnt that be worse? He could be beating your kids, wouldnt that be worse? He could be drinking or doing drugs, wouldnt that be worse? So what he wants to watch tv. If you want to go out why dont you just say so. And why is your friend watching your kids if you are there?

Yeah it could get a lot worse. Instead of watching TV he could be using you as a punching bag. You could be supporting black eyes and broken bones and are wondering when he is going to lay the fatal blow, leaving you dead and the kids being raised by their abusive father. Yes, most definitely it could get a lot worse.

Play some board games instead of tv--the kids can even play.
