It's a cheap "imitation" coin. It's not collectable and has no value whatsoever.

Since Washington D.C. is not a state, it would not be on a state quarter. That however may not be true if legislation is past to add it plus other American areas that are not states but the people are U.S. citizens. Some enterprising people made up a state quarter for Washington D.C., in order to cover their butt so to speak, they marked it a copy, for it does look like a real quarter. They did not want the Secret Service knocking on their door. It is for now a fantasy piece until the real one comes out. This is one of those items that has more value as a piece of Americana than monetary value. I have no idea of the mintage and see them on on-line auctions once in a while for $5 or so.
