Some have floated the idea of a "League of Democracies" instead.

The UN takes just about anyone. (Except Taiwan.)

What "honor" is it to be a member at all?

the United Nations is not in any way 'united' and is a forum for anti-American rhetoric. their resolutions are ignored( i.e.17 ignored by Sadamm) and they will not deploy their 'army' to restore or insist on peace or enforce their resolutions. the UN soldiers are made up of personnel from participating nations and are not allowed to use their weapon except for self defense.

it is well known for it's graft and corruption and nepotism runs rampant. it has lost sight of it's mission there is no doubt.

the human rights council is mostly made up of countries that do not know the meaning of human rights.

but.....we should participate to have our say and be represented..we should just quit bailing them out and pay only our share of dues, not subsidize it then perhaps others would pay up or get out and our voice could be heard over the screams of hate for America.

john Bolton was a strong ambassador but was fired, the last strong UN ambassador was Jean Kirkpatrick.

i do not believe we should 'pull up our panties and go home' but we should at least get kissed. i hope that somehow it could be come effective and do what it is suppose to do.

Fine. Leave. You won't be missed.

Then the rest of the world can gang up on the US and you won't be able to do a thing about it, as you won't have a voice.
