When I searched places on Google Earth or any other aerial photos, I felt really uncomfortable and I had to move away from the computer while it was locating the place I wanted to find. I know it is weird but, I want to know why I fell this way.

If it's any help - I was excited by my new toy when I got google earth, but when I started showing my partner its capabilities she recoiled in horror! She says "It's just wrong", and now she won't look at it. Just to let you know you're not the only one.

This is not strange at all. It is just a manifestation of vertigo.

Here is a definition of vertigo from Stronghealth.com:

"Illusion of movement; a sensation as if the external world were revolving around an individual (objective vertigo) or as if the individual were revolving in space (subjective vertigo). "

It is a dizzy sensation brought on by an inner-ear condition or a fear of heights.

Director Alfred Hitchcock once did a murder mystery movie based on this feeling of movement (Yes, it was called "Vertigo")

In history, people generally experienced vertigo while climbing ladders or on roofs... These days you can get vertigo by looking at Google maps! Isn't technology great!

For me....
it is kinda odd viewing ....even if unclear satellite/aerial image....of place way out there SOMEWHERE.
Maybe akin to sensation I get when I was messing with shortwave radio way back in the sixties....
in New Jersey
and ...with a longwire antenna attached I could pick up smaller radio stations ...in other states....
5000 watt stations .....very local content back then....and I am in New Jersey straining to pick up call letters of A.M station in CA through static and weak fading signal.

it's kinda like that for me.
