I am a volunteer in Wisconsin and would like to know if I may have an emergency light on my dash, like a red or blue flasher, if it is legal?

I can't say for sure about WI. I know that the police in KY use the blue lights and they are the only ones that are allowed to use blue. The fire department uses red lights and the volunteers are allowed to have reds lights in their personal cars. Only to be used when responding to a call.

I would call the DMV and ask that question, or just call the fire department and ask them. They should know the answer, since they have to deal with it. good luck.

you can have a red one.....but I think you also need to have FD plates (that you will have to check on) ask your chief.
