Are Bios also called chipset drivers?

NOPE! They are different. BIOS resides on the EPROM chip. BIOS initializes motherboard components and PC peripherals before OS is loaded.

The motherboard chipset is usually composed of the Northbridge and the Southbridge. The chipset provides features such as video, ddr2 (or ddr3) support, PCIe, SATA, LAN, Audio, USB, etc. Sample of modern chipset:

The chipset driver enables these features in the OS.

actually not, bios contain basic routines to operate your system, you can say it contain general software. but your graphic card, motherboard, keyboard, mouse and even monitor needs specific drivers to operate in their full advatages.
