Suggest going to a bra fit event where certified bra fitters will help you find the right type of bra. JCPenney has a bra fit event going on right now, and I think Victoria's Secret does as well. Since JCPenney is more of a "family" store, I'd say that place is your best bet. I'm sure your mom is just putting it off because your her "little girl"... I'm in my 30s and I will always be my mom's "baby". Good luck to you.

if you are 13 i would deffinitely wear at least a trining bra. even if you dont have much. i feel so naked without one. i started wearing a training bra in then end of 5th grade and im a junior now.
and as for asking your mom...just flat out tell her be like mom i think i need to start wearing a normal bra and she should understand, i mean shes been there before too.

Walmart has some really good starter bras at a cheap price in cute sets & colors
after you start developing go get measured at like victoria Secrets, JcPenny,Macy measure you for free
& then you can buy nicer bras with more support if you turn out to be busty try lane Bryant a lil pricey but you wont be disapointed at all
Just say to her Mom I feel like I need something with support it's time.No one wants saggin boobies & thats what will happen if you dont start supporting those puppies now.

Hey, I had the same problem. And your mom was a teenager once too, so just bring it up sometime when you're alone with her. Say, "Hey, mom, I was kinda wondering if I could get a REAL bra?"
Try that when you're already in a store, then you've got a good chance of walking out with one.
Good luck! If I could do it, so can you. :-)

You need to go to your mom and ask her to talk with you privately. then tell her you think you need a new bra and a different style. I am sure she will listen.. Sometimes mom notice but don't know if the child is ready , so go to here.. I know she will listen to you.

why do you want to wear a bra? especially with pads? why create that illusion? I never understood bras....your boobs are gonna sag regardless if you wear them. If you are really large and it helps your back I can see wearing one, or if you are wearing a see thru blouse... but otherwise let em be free :)
I know for conformity sake and wanting to feel like a woman your desire to get a bra....but there are upsides to not wearing one....1 they are expensive! 2 it will help all the guys because they are dimwits when it comes to bras especially when your a teenager. lol ;)
good luck!

Maybe try to catch your mum when she isn't pre-occupied or busy with something, and ask her if she'll go shopping with you at the weekend. Then you could say you were thinking of maybe getting a new bra, and you'd really appreciate it if she'd help you pick a good one out. xx

Ok, totally serious here, just come out and tell her, she's your MOM, she's a girl too. I'm pretty sure that she'll understand seeing that she went through the same thing when she was younger!!! ;)

Just tell her that what you are wearing hurts you and you have read somewhere that it's not good for you to be wearing something that tight that stops the normal growth.
