I am 33 weeks Sunday 8/19. I just wanted to know what can I expect over the next few weeks, what should I be aware of, stuff like that. I don't have a lot of females in my life, just figures some ladies would be willing and wanting to give some advice. Also I've been having some pains "down there" especially when I walk and that make me pause mid stride and kinda have to bend over a little bit. Any ideas?

Stay active as long as you can, with proper rest in between. Walking builds up your endurance for labor and encourages dilating and effacement of the cervix.

In the coming weeks you might notice some milestones happening:

1. Lightening or engagment as the baby drops
2. Losing your mucus plug, all at once or gradually
3. Pressure or pain in your groin or pelvic area as the baby's head presses down
4. More aches and pains!

Best advice is to walk alot the next month or whatever you have left. Walking will help position your baby right and help dilate you faster. Youll feel alot more pains but trust me it'll be worth getting into good shape before you run that big marathon. Oh and lots and lots of H2o!

im only a few weeks father than u, but that sounds normal! the pain ur feeling is the straining of ur ligaments down there. i had the same concern and my dr. said its normal. u can expect just general discomfort (which i think is more due to impatience than baby! hehe) over the next few weeks. expect to pee more, and be a lil more uncomfortable sleeping, hungrier, exhausted with random moments of high energy. good luck in the next few weeks! =D

Expect more aches and pains and twinges. It's all about the growing baby and the stretching of muscles and tissues and ligaments and joints. Rest as much as possible.
