. . yet NOT ONE of them has ever thought to set up a video camera in their bedroom?

If you think you've been abducted by aliens many times in your life, and you expect to be abducted again, why wouldn't you install a hidden video camera so you would have proof?

Aliens... hmm

Fairies? In Middle England, they used to take people away and do experiments on them, sometimes mate with them. These people were then placed back in our realm, disorientated, but with no apparent loss of time...

Hmmm, sounds an awful lot like aliens to me. Maybe they are in parallel universes that you have to somehow enter, or for them to come here?

People have integrated with people from 'different realms' throughout the ages. If seen in historical perspective, people try and explain things in ideas that they understand. before it was faeries and elves etc, since the 50's its been Aliens and UFO's.

This is about the 3rd time I've said this, and its a shame I'm not on commission, but read Supernatural by Graham Hancock.

In there he has a fantastic stab at SCIENTIFICALLY proving the existence of aliens and fairies, but not as you'd expect. He's not a crackpot, but a respected historical journalist. Check out his website for details... www.grahamhancock.com

First, some people have done this and found that some people suffering from sleep paralysis and night terrors report alien abductions. Skeptics cite these cases as the only reason and dismiss all other reports.

Second, serial abductees is a bit misleading. People do not report for instance being abducted every third Wednesday of the month at between 2:00 and 2:15 a.m. so you would know precisely when to set up equipment.
So if your willing to videotape yourself sleeping every night for a year you might have an idea that would work out.
Granted, you could set up some type of motion detector that would trigger the camera and it is unfortunate that many of these people are unwilling to cooperate with investigators. Of course skeptics that are calling them delusional and want to tape them to prove it don't get a lot of cooperation from abductees, imagine that, huh?

NOTE: I would love to work on a case like this.

The responder psiexploration provides the most lucid and educated answer to your question.

It has been suggested that persons who claim to have been abducted by aliens are experiencing sleep paralysis--a disordered form of sleep in which a person is partly awake and is a waking dream or (kind of) hallucinating, which is associated with a lucidity that is not experienced in an ordinary dream state. They feel apprehension and paranoia, feel dark presences (often as dark, large-eyed beings), and feel they are being restrained and violated, and sometimes feel they are being transported. These are all hallmarks of sleep paralysis imagery. Psychiatrists studying this matter also note that most persons who report alien abductions have histrionic personalities--that is, they are not as "grounded" and well-balanced as other people.

Most of them did. Because they were smart they sold their
recordings on ebay. People who buy it also aquire the legal
knowledge of its existance. Intellectual property is protected,
exchanged, and sold. Assume reader has not fully reviewed what exactly ebay offers. Go find the alien artifacts. Patent
something off a purchase or just collect things as investment
opportunities. Somebody will.

Because they are crazy, just crazy. That's it.
Do you know that there were absolutely no reports of alien abductions before aliens first appeared in SiFi movies?
Somebody combed a huge number of old newspapers and found no mention of the alien abductions before the first movies depicting them.
After the first couple of movies there were hundreds of reports...

because if you had that kind of proof, the military and the government and mi6 would be puttin caps in your a*s faster than curry comes back out the morning after a good night out.
the government would cover it up, and if it did leak ouut, the world would fear aliens or treat them as a laboratory specimen not a being that has the same rights as us.
it would never come out even if someone had videoed it, or it'd be labelled a hoax, or the person would disappear.
i would keep the experience to myself, i wouldnt want to share something like that with the human race because we would just do the same as we have done with the very planet we live on, destroy it.

Honestly don't you think ET's are smarter than that. If they can erase memories and replace them with false ones, they know how to handle cameras. I suspect they have even manipulated government agencies to insist that they do not exist. The best way to operate anywhere is in stealth.

Most of them are too delusional and paranoid to trust a mere video camera to perform its obvious function. Clearly, space goblins would delete the video.
