Cat nap is a short rest to refresh yourself.

You stay in REM and do not go into a deep sleep.

cat sleep, forty winks, short sleep, snooze, nap
sleeping - the suspension of consciousness and decrease in metabolic rate

Good Luck

My husband conducted a sleep study of 200 college age students over the course of two days. He showed increased cognitive abilities and concentration with a minimum of 45 minutes sleep and a maximum of 2 hours for the nap. Anything more proved to be less effective as the participants complained of feeling more drowsey than the ones with the 45 minute nap.

LOL... In point of fact Cats can sleep as much as 22 hours a day. The term is derived from the fact that they are also easily aroused from sleep; BUT have the ability to POWER NAP, almost at will.

In your question; it largely depends on WHAT works for you. If you are able to fall asleep easily at ANY time of day, then a time frame will probably become clear to you in the effect and after ,,,any affect.

I enjoy sleep; though don't get enough of it. I try various times depending on my schedules and needs. You might follow that thinking. I do suggest however... NOT at work; in school; while driving; operating machinery; or when on a date.
