Question 1
2y = 9x + 10
y = (9/2) x + 5
Slope = (9/2)
y intercept is y = 5

Question 2
y = 0.5 x + 11
y = 0.5 x 11 + 11
y = 5.5 + 11
y = 16.5
Hourly wage is $16.50

Question 3
m = (4 - 4) / (8 + 7)
m = 0

Question 4

#1 solve this equation for y, so the equation will be in y=mx+b format.

9x -2y = -10
-9x -9x
-2y=-9x -10
-2y/-2= -9x -10/ -2
y= -9x/-2 -10/-2
y= 9/2x + 5
Therefore, 9/2 or 4.5 is your slope and 5 is your y-intercept

#2 y=.50x + 11
y=.50 * 11 + 11
y= 5.5 + 11
y= $ 16.50 per hour

#3 slope (m) = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1
m= 4 - 4 / 8 - (-7)
m= 0 / 15
m = 0

Therefore, if m = 0 there is no slope

#4 find the slope of (0,3) I know there is a way to find the slope with one point only but I'm not for sure how it was done sorry!!!

Solve for y. The coefficient of x is the slope, and the constant term is the y-intercept.
9x - 2y = -10
9x + 10 = 2y
y = 9/2 x + 5,
so the slope is 9/2 and the y-intercept is 5.
Alternatively,
Set x = 0 and solve for y = the y-intercept.
So 9(0) - 2y = -10, or y = 5 is the y-intercept.
The substitute any value in for x (or y) to find another point on the graph (you already have (0, 5).)
I'll use x = 2 so all the numbers will be even:
9(2) - 2y = -10
18 - 2y = -10
-2y = -28
y = 14
Now find the slope of the line through (0, 5) and (2, 14):
m = (14 - 5)/(2 - 0) = 9/2

Solve this equation for y.

You'll get it in the format y = mx + b. m is the slope, b is the intercept.

9x-2y=-10
y=(9/2)x+5

Slope is 9/2, y-int is 5

y=0.5(11)+11
=5.5+11
=$15.50/hour

(-7,4),(8,5)

m=dy/dx
=5-4/8+7
=1/15
