My son was born Aug 14 and I was just wondering when they do these things. He is so precious and I was just wanting a heads up of when to look out for these things.

It sounds like your son is doing just fine! If your son was born 3 wks early then it may be more accurate to compare his skills for that of an 11 month old. My daughter was born a month early, and that is what her dr. said. My son didn't start walking until 14 months, and my daugther was 10 months, so there is a wide range for "normal". As long as he is able to be mobile, and can stand holding on he's doing great. He will walk after he spends a little more time praciticing his balance and getting the courage. Don't get buy him a walker in your anticipation to help, because a walker requires entirely different muscles and action than walking which could cause confusion and delay. Kids who are in walkers are also so happy to use the walkers to move that they are often delayed in walking because of it as well. Plus there are so many injuries from walkers that many dr.s are suggesting parents stop using them all together. Good luck.

All babies are diff., but w/ that said- my son rolled over at 5 months, crawled at 7 1/2 months, was sitting up alone around 7 months, and started cruising at 9 1/2 months.

My lil sis rolled over at 3 1/2 months, she crawled at 8 and she sat up at 6. She's showing signs of wanting to walk- she has a walker (she's 10 months btw) and she goo goo ga gas sometimes sound like Mama and Dada- but not yet a KayCey.

Babies develop at different stages. Some do things early, some do things late. Here is a guideline to infant development but don't worry if your baby is ahead or behind. Here is a website that has a milestone chart. It tells you what to expect from birth to 3 years old. Congrats on your new baby! http://www.babycenter.com/milestone-charts-birth-to-age-3?Ad=com.bc.common.AdInfo%4045c455ba

they usually start rolling over at about 3 months, sitting up at six, pulling up and walking holdin on to things around at 9, and by 12 months he should be walking then watch out cause soon he'll be running!

Good luck!

my son is 19 weeks old. he JUST ROLLED from his back to tummy last week. he's not doing anything else yet though :)

TIP: my boy LOVES his "BUMBO" chair... you need one of those. it allows a baby to sit UNSUPPORTED at 3 months old. We bought ours at Target and we bought the tray that snaps on so he had toys at his reach.... WHAT A GOOD BUY!
