It's not all that scary. It's more than a little difficult to find your classes and finding a spot at lunch can be somewhat hard. Anyway, just make sure you have some friends from middle school with you or make new ones! Be nice, do well academically, join something (ex. as a freshman I joined band and learned to play the saxophone) It's really fun but get ready for loads of homework >.<

LOL, I'm starting High School on the next Monday as well as a Sophomore. I need advice as well but from being a freshman I would just say don't think you're all that, because you aren't. However, don't let the big people get you down. Because they aren't all that as well.

as a junior this coming year, who still has homework to do for the first day of school in 2 weeks (3 books, 3sets of notes, 1 packet of math) id say dont procrastinate, and study often. put homework before tv, or get tivo/dvr so you dont miss your shows. get into an extracurricular activity, mine is marching band which also gets me an extra 1/2 credit. you have more fun and meet more people. Id try to stay on the principles good side, so by senior year he/she is down for a school prank...and he/she wont be mad if you prank him/her.

ME TOO!! but as a sophomore anyways to tell you the truth its not as bad as you would think. atleast to me i cant believe last year i was scared. once the first month or maybe two go bye its just going to feel like school nothing special. i love high school SOOO much more than middle.

i honestly think when i go to high school as a freshman everyone who is not a freshman will hate me. because in middle school everyone hates the 6th grades such as me. act cool dont follow the trends be yourself love your life...

well I'm not in high school yet but heres some tips any way:
be yourself
be calm and collected
listen to your teachers
pay attention in class
do your assignments
dont go out with the wrong people
dont give in to peer preassure
but mostly
HAVE FUN!!!!

same here! except i've already started :( it's a big work load. make sure u get ALL ur homework done b4 u have sum fun. u won't have 2 worry that way, it'll already b done
